Nokia seems to be experimenting with newer form factors. After giving us the dual slider concept with the N95, it's time for this new swivel screen design.
The company has apparently applied for a patent for a new form factor design at the US Patent Office. The weird design incorporates a large (touch) screen. The screen is hidden behind the QWERTY keyboard of the phone and can be "pulled out" in landscape mode. That is when it reveals the full size of the screen.
Interesting idea! If there is one company that can incorporate this in future devices, it is Nokia thanks to its large logistics and supply chain management abilities.
We certainly do not think Nokia is ready with any devices appearing any time soon carrying this form factor but it is a distinct possibility in the future.
